Mino Ware + YOSHIHIKO FUJII Matcha Bowl
Mino Ware + YOSHIHIKO FUJII Matcha Bowl
A Contemporary Expression of Japanese Tradition
A collaboration between Mino Ware, one of Japan’s most celebrated ceramic traditions with a history spanning more than 1,300 years, and YOSHIHIKO FUJII, rooted in the craftsmanship of Kishu lacquerware.
Layers of gold, silver, and lacquer overlap and flow across the surface, creating a unique landscape reminiscent of an abstract painting. As the light and viewing angle change, the metallic details reveal subtle variations in brilliance and expression.
While designed as a traditional matcha bowl, its elegant form allows it to move freely beyond the tea ceremony. It can also be used as a café au lait bowl, dessert bowl, or distinctive serving piece for contemporary dining.
A vessel that connects the Japanese culture of tea with modern lifestyles — preserving the beauty of tradition while embracing new possibilities.
